Under 9 and Under 10 Rippa Rugby Tournament with the All Blacks

Here's your chance to assemble a Rippa Rugby team consisting of under 9 and/or under 10 year olds (8 and 9 year olds) and enter them to participate in a Rippa Rugby tournament with the All Blacks.

The tournament will be held on Monday 2nd August from 4-6pm at the main stadium at QEII Park. The tournament will be part of a larger community event involving the All Blacks squad in the lead up to their Bledisloe Cup Test Match on Saturday 7th August at AMI Stadium. The All Blacks will be involved in playing rippa with the teams.

Please register your team to take part in the tournament by emailing a photo of them supporting the All Blacks to paintitallblack@ccc.govt.nz by Friday 23rd July.

There will be 6 teams drawn on Monday 26th July to participate in the tournament. Teams must include 10 players only.

All Blacks Community Challenge
QEII Recreation and Sports Centre
4-6pm

Meet the All Blacks watch the Rippa Rugby tournament and have a fun afternoon at QEII. (Wet weather venue to be advised)

Get your face painted and have a go on the bouncy castle.

Test your speed, strength and kicking accuracy at the adi test lab – Where rugby fans can try out the boots worn by the All Blacks.

Visit the adidas photo booth and get a professional photograph of yourselves with your favourite All Black.

Kiwiana in the Square
Get down to Cathedral Square to experience Paint It All Black fever. Loads of competitions to enter and be sure to purchase a piece of Pavlova as we attempt to break the World Record. Get down to the Sqaure to enter the ball catching competition.

Be sure to watch this space and listen to 91ZM for details as they come to hand on how you can enter the competitions and be apart of the day. Get down to the Square between 12 noon – 2pm to take part in the fun.

Rugby Road Walk
Meet in the Square at 5pm to experience the Rugby Road walk to AMI Stadium. Grab your special ticket in Cathedral Square to find out how you enter to win one of 6 Rugby World Cup kits of the country of your choice!

Be sure to bring your coins along to take advantage of the Rugby Club sausage sizzle and food vendors along the way. Road closures will be in place to allow for a fast and free flowing walk.

Free parking will be available for you to park your car and allow you to walk to the game in the Farmers Car Park, Tuam St Car Park, Oxford Terrace Car Park and the Manchester St Car Park so be sure to get in quick. These car park buildings will be open from 5pm – midnight Saturday 7 August but cars must be collected before 10am Sunday 8 August 2010.

MasterCard All Blacks Roadshow

Now in its third year, the MasterCard All Blacks Roadshow hosts a series of community events where local fans can get up close and personal with some of the current All Blacks and Rugby Legend, Buck Shelford, by competing in rugby challenges including; catching, try-scoring, kicking, passing and lineout skills.

This year the Roadshow will visit 6 New Zealand towns famous in their own right for some rather unique activities. One of these towns is Akaroa where the All Blacks present will be competing against locals in a waiter race.
